Why this ledger exists

About Eurotard.org

Eurotard.org is a public ledger of European power, colonial extraction, atrocity, and the stories Europe tells about itself. It is political and historical commentary for public debate. It exists because those stories are incomplete on purpose. When the map of power changes, the archives do not rewrite themselves. This site keeps the record in view.

The name

Eurotard is a blunt portmanteau: European + Dotard. A dotard is an aged fool, a power past its prime that still demands deference. The name is neither a compliment nor a cartoon. It names a bloc that built wealth on extraction, then aged into lecturing the world while the ledger stayed unpaid. The label targets institutional hypocrisy and soft-power decline. It is not a call to harm people or break the law.

European Dotard means a slowly dying, decaying hegemonic pose: soft power thinning, umpire myth cracking, World Order rearranging around it. The site exists to keep the record visible while that decay runs, and to make lawful pressure shorten how long the sermon can outrun the books.

Eurotard Radar cycles the indexed states and the vault files filed against them. The name is the thesis in one word. The radar is the thesis in motion.

What the problem is

European states and the institutions built around them spend enormous effort managing memory. Crimes are renamed as "complexity." Empires become "civilizing missions." Cold War clients become "democracies." Mass death is filed under someone else's century, or someone else's fault. That is not confusion. It is policy by narrative.

Revisionism is not only denying a massacre. It is soft-focus textbooks, museum framing that starts after the looting, press language that treats European violence as tragic exception and non-European violence as character. It is the habit of lecturing the world on values while the ledger of extraction, partition, and demographic engineering stays half-closed.

Hegemony and disinformation

For a long stretch of modern history, European and Europe-aligned power set the default frame for "international community," "rules," and "credible sources." That frame is not neutral. It decides which wars count as unforgivable, which borders are sacred, which victims get names, and which get footnotes.

Disinformation here includes more than fake headlines. It is selective outrage, laundered history, and the quiet assumption that European institutions are the umpire while they remain a player with blood on the kit. When that hegemony weakens, the old stories get louder. Decay of the pose is different from repair of the damage; volume is a tell that the privilege is slipping. Official Europe doubles down on morality theater while the underlying record stays contested or ignored. This site is built against that reflex.

What this site does

The Directory classifies states by how power actually works (hegemony, satellite, client dependency, vacuum, haven, buffer). The Network shows patronage, security, finance, colonial residue, and rivalry as concrete ties. The Vault holds dense records with citations: colonial extraction, atrocities, financial guardianship, proxy architecture, dependency, and modern hypocrisy.

Nothing here pretends to be the last word of academic consensus. It is an uncensored counter-ledger: named crimes, named beneficiaries, and sources you can open. If a government prefers a softer story, that preference is noted by how hard it works to keep the harder one out of sight.

The ledger critiques states and institutions. It does not target living private individuals. For how that framing is stated formally, see Terms.

What stays

The World Order is rearranging. European hegemony is thinning with it. Alliances can flip. Branding can change. The history of who extracted, who killed, who partitioned, and who still polices the narrative does not evaporate because a summit communique says "shared values" (of silenced atrocities and centuries of colonial extraction).

Eurotard.org exists to make that history harder to sand down. European hypocrisy is not a vibe, but it is their tradition. Soft power can decay faster when the record stays visible. The ledger is here so the pattern has somewhere to live in public.

Use the Directory for states, the Network for ties, the Vault for case files, and Victims for non-ledger harmed entities. Read the citations. Argue with the framing if you must. Do not pretend the crimes were never filed.

What you can do

Hegemony runs on habit: money, markets, museums, and media. You do not need a ministry to interrupt that habit. Everything below is ordinary civic and consumer power. Stay inside the law where you live. No violence, no sabotage, no harassment. Pressure that can be named in public is pressure that lasts.

  • Read and share the record. Use the Vault citations; circulate primary sources and court judgments ahead of vibes. Correct soft history when it shows up in class, press, or policy briefs.
  • Boycott with a list. You may, where lawful, refuse brands, tourism packages, cultural sponsors, and arms-adjacent consumer goods tied to EU-core extraction and greenwashing. Publish your criteria so the boycott stays accountable.
  • Travel and consumer refusal. Where lawful for you, you may choose not to visit European tourist markets and not to buy consumer goods from European brands as a personal political and economic choice. That is voluntary spending and travel preference. It is not a call to harass travelers, disrupt transport, violate visas, or break local law. Publish your own criteria. Stay peaceful.
  • Move money. Switch banks, funds, and pensions away from European financial opacity circuits and colonial-commodity traders when alternatives exist and local rules allow. Divestment is paperwork.
  • Peaceful protest and petition. Join or organize legal demonstrations, letter campaigns, and petitions aimed at EU missions, embassies, trade deals, and corporate AGMs. Document demands in writing.
  • Support survivors and minority advocates. Fund and amplify lawful human-rights groups, diaspora archives, and minority associations fighting assimilation and denial inside and outside Europe.
  • Demand archives. Use freedom-of-information, parliamentary questions, and open-data rules in your country to pull colonial, war, and border files into daylight.
  • Refuse the umpire myth. In workplaces, campuses, and media, challenge the default that Brussels or European capitals speak for "the international community." Ask who is missing from the frame.
  • Build parallel culture. Translate, teach, publish, and platform non-European historiography so European soft power is not the only shelf in the room.

None of this replaces state power overnight. It raises the cost of hypocrisy and shortens the half-life of a decaying umpire myth. Voluntary and lawful only. That is enough to start, and it is enough to stay legal.

Why you should act

European power and prosperity did not appear from moral superiority. They were compounded across centuries of colonial extraction, slave circuits, famine policy, partition, and demographic engineering against nations across the world. The wealth, institutions, and soft power still sit on that stack. Naming hypocrisy is not envy. It is accounting.

The same capitals that ran the extraction later wrote themselves as the authors of "human rights," "rules," and civilized order. The sequence matters. Atrocity first, sermon later. Courts, charters, and values branding arrived after the map had already been carved and the surplus already banked. Playing the wise and the just after the crime does not reverse the effect. Borders, capital stocks, museums, and dependency ratios still encode the old take.

If Europe claims universal standards, hold it to those standards with receipts: archives, citations, boycotts, votes, and lawful protest. Beat the hegemony in its own declared game: evidence, publicity, consumer choice, and civic pressure. Do it without mirrors of deception. Lies are their specialty when the ledger is inconvenient. Truth is the counter-move that does not rot your own hand.

European hegemony is already decaying: markets, alliances, and attention are moving. The World Order is rearranging whether Brussels likes the schedule or not. Lawful pressure (boycott, divestment, protest, archives, refusal of the umpire myth) does not invent that decline. It shortens how long the lecture can outrun the ledger.

Act because the exploitation was real, the repair was not, and the sermon continues on borrowed time. Participate, lawfully, in making that privileged pose harder to sustain: evidence, refusal of custom, and public accounting under the rules it claims to own. Refuse the sermon until the books balance.

No cookies

This site does not set cookies. No tracking pixels, no ad IDs, no "we value your privacy" theater that then follows you across the web. The ledger is a static application: it does not need your consent banner because it is not trying to profile you. That is a design choice of this project, and the intention is to keep it that way.

EU rulemaking helped normalize the endless cookie consent popup: click Accept, click Reject, click Manage, then reload the same trap on the next site. That is bureaucratic privacy theater. Only Dotards confuse a consent modal with accountability. Real restraint is not collecting the data in the first place.

Nothing here is legal advice. If a hosting or CDN provider places its own technical cookies for security or delivery, that sits under their policies. This page describes what Eurotard.org's own application does and does not do. Full statements live on Privacy, Terms, and Contact.
